This is a collection of articles by Russian and foreign historians of art about two outstanding Russian artists, Mikahil Larionov (1881-1964) and Natal`ia Goncharova (1881-1962). These two were among the founders of the Russian classic avant-garde. Rejecting the traditional art of the 19th century, Larionov depended on naive and folk art, lubok, and the specific style of Russian signboards. A significant part of the collection is taken by publications from the personal archives of the two artists and their circle. Bibliographical references.
