This book continues the series "Art of the Avant-garde 1910-1920". It deals with works of Voldemar Matvei (Vladimir Markov) and the artistic union "Soiuz Molodezhi" founded and led by Matvei (St. Petersburg, 1910-1914). This union published the first periodical of the Russian avant-garde in 1912-1913, also named Soiuz Molodezhi. This collection is about the life and works of Matvei, his relations with other artists of the Russian avant-garde, including active members of the union.
