The glory and new name of the town is related to the Lyceum of Tsarskoe Selo and of its most famous student: Aleksandr Pushkin (1811-1817). This book is a guide to the literary history of this town which was continued by several writers and poets of the soviet period, including Anna Akhmatova, Nikolai Gumilev, Nikolai Nedobrovo, etc.
