This is a collection of reviews of modern urban studies particularly large agglomerations in Russia and abroad. Among the topics discussed are: formation of the labor force in Moscow and problems of its use; ecological problems in the Moscow megalopolis; state ownership and state regulation of land use.
Altai Krai (in its modern boundaries since 1991) is located in the southeast of Eastern Siberia. The population is almost 3,000,000. This book contains a proposed methodology of developing a medical ecological atlas of this territory based on previous maps and studies of factors responsible for the health (specific diseases) and ecological situation in the region.
