This is a collection of the scholarly work and contemporary writing of the conservative philosopher Petr Astaf`ev (1846-1893). Astaf`ev was a close friend and like-minded person with two other Russian philosophers K. Leont`ev and L. Tikhomirov. Like Kirievskii, Astaf`ev was convinced that there is specifically Russian Weltanschauung, which is rooted in its unique national spirit. Introduction and commentary by M. Smolin.
