This monograph publishes and interprets the old runic monuments of the Uighur Khaganate (7th century) and the history of the Eurasian Steppe. Most of these texts were discovered by the author himself during the Soviet-Mongolian expedition (1969-1990). The author studies the monuments and places them in the context of the general history of the Eurasian Steppe and early medieval history of tribal unions of Ogur (Oguz) and the main tribe "ten tribes of Uighur".
