This is a memoir and personal correspondence of Konstantin Pobedonostsev (1827-1907), the chief procurator of the Holy Synod from 1880 to 1905. The first volume includes his letters of 1878-1893. The second covers 1884-1984. It also contains letters of Aleksandr the Third, Tsarevich at that time, to his confessor and mentor in law, Pobedonostsev. Comments.
