Memoirs of two White Army officers who fought in the Civil war in Russia and Mongolia under the command of Baron Roman Fedorovich Ungern-Stenberg (1885-1921), who was one of the most extraordinary figures of the Civil War. A bitter enemy of revolution and liberalism, working towards the restoration of monarchy and the traditional social order, Baron left a noticeable mark on the history of both countries. The first memoir is by N.N. Kniazev, first published in Harbin in 1942. The second is by M.G. Tornovskii, published for the first time. 92 photographs. Comments, name index.
