This is the second book of the fourth volume of a book about the Moscow Synodal Choir in the 30 years before the Revolution of 1917. Throughout its history the choir was successively under the authority of the Kiev, Vladimir, and Moscow Metropolitans. The second book of the second volume covers the concert activity of the Synodal Chorus, or the history of spiritual singing outside churches; publications in periodicals about them (reviews and notes); academic programs of the Synodal School in 1897-1910 and the statute of the school. Each chapter has an introduction, includes documents and comments to them. Comments, supplements, name index for the second volume. The volumes were not published in sequential order. Volume 4 of the series is also available.
