The book is continues the series "Russian Procurators" of unique historical investigations based on archival materials, memoirs, rare photos and other primary sources, which were previously unknown to a general audience. This volume tells about the formation of the soviet office of public prosecutor and the court system in 1922-1936. Like all the rest of them, it contains biographies of the procurators (D. Kurskii, N. Ianson, N. Krylenko, V. Antonov-Ovsienko, I. Akulov), analysis of their activity, as well as documents issued by this office. Four out the five first procurators became victims of the system they created. Bibliography. Previous volumes are available.
