This book is the second volume of a collection of works of 1998-2004 on the interconnection of social and economic processes in Russia. Its author, Evgenii Iasin (b. 1934), former Minister of the Economy (1994-1997), was one of the major contributors to the first government program of the transformation of the centrally planned Russian economy into a market one. He is a head of the fond "Liberal Mission" which since 2000 has been disseminating liberal values in Russian society. The second volume includes his articles on the strategy of reforms in Russian economy and various factors of its development: from the system of taxation to a system of values. Taken as a whole, these articles offer a considered analysis of the key problems in the modern Russian economy. Also available are the first volume of this dilogy (2003) and Rossiiskaia Ekonomika: Istoki i Panorama Rynochnykh Reform (2002).
