The Vremennik Georgiia Monakha is a manuscript of the eleventh century that supposedly is even older than Povest` Vremennykh Let and Slovo o Polku Igoreve. It was a translation of the Byzantine history of the creation of the world. This text, translated into Church Slavonic, was very popular in medieval Rus. This book is a translation of the Troitsk version of the chronicle into Russian. The Church Slavonic text was compared with the Greek original and all discrepancies are provided with commentaries.
