This is the first volume, b ook 1, of the collected works of one of the first Slavophiles Ivan Sergeevich Aksakov (1823-1886). It is based on the pre-revolutionary (1886-87) collected works compiled by his widow A.F. Aksakova, the oldest daughter of F.I. Tiutchev. This new collected works will include works left out of the previous one as well as his letters and other personal documents. The first volume of the collection contains his articles on the key issues of the Slavophile movement: the Slavic world, the role of Russia as the Orthodox state in the world especially towards her brothers in faith. Most of the works in this volume have not been published since the first edition. Standing order is available. (1.13 kg)
