This book is about the history of the architectural and artistic monuments of Ferapontov Monastery (15th century) in the Vologda Gubernia. The complex survived practically without losses and now acts as a museum. One of its most famous works is a completely surviving painting in the Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God and St. Ferapont Monastery from 1502. This monastery is included in the UNESCO list of the world cultural legacy. The designer of the iconostasis at Ferapontov, Dionysius (about 1440-after 1502) is the painter of numerous icons and frescos in Old Russian churches and monasteries. (0.365 kg.)
