F.A. Stepun (1884-1965) was a philosopher of the Kantian school, a novelist and a literary critic. He lived outside Russia from 1922. He was a man who had several professional lives: philosopher, literary critic, theater director, officer, politician, emigre, and then the chairman of the famous Slavic department in Munich University.
