"Sibirskoe oblastnichestvo" (Siberian regional movement) was begun in St. Petersburg in 1859-60 by Siberian students of G.N. Potanin, N.M. Iiadrintsev and others. Many of them were arrested before the revolution and after it. The book is devoted to the philosophy and ideology of the circle of regionalists in St. Petersburg (1859-1860) and the activities of their leaders.
