The book-album is based on the proceedings of the international scientific and methodological conference held on September 13-15, 2011. It is dedicated to the end of the restoration of the frescoes created by Dionysius in 1502 at the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Theotokos in the Ferapontov Convent. Dionysius (about 1440-after 1502) is the painter of numerous icons and frescos in Old Russian churches and monasteries. One of his most famous works is the completely surviving painting in the Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God and St. Ferapont Monastery in Ferapontovo in 1502.
