This is the first five volumes of the dictionary of the everyday language of Muscovites of the 16th-17th centuries prepared by scholars of the Philological Department of St. Petersburg University and the Institute of Linguistic Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The design of this dictionary was proposed at the beginning of the 1960s by Russian linguist B.A. Larin. It is based on approximately 240 literary works of this period, which quoted the everyday speech of ordinary people.
