The city of Berlin has been the trans-shipment point for thousands of Russian emigrants since the 1917 revolution. Historian of literature G. Time traveled several times from Moscow to Germany and back in between two world wars and presented his view of Germany, in particular the city of Berlin, as a "Russian view of the Other" using phenomenological terminology. His research presents answers to the following questions: What is a Russian trip abroad about, in particular to Germany? What is a specifics of the genre in between the two wars? What makes the Russian trip a "trip of the Other`? How does a Russian "Other" traveler see Berlin? (0.235 kg.).
