This dictionary contains lexics and phraseology of typical Russian old inhabitants of Siberia. The Village of Vershinino in the Tom region was chosen as a standard place of residence, and became the object of fifty years of field work for linguists of the Tomsk State University. One of the result of these studies was the four volume Full Dictionary of Siberian Dialect published in 1991-94 (also available). The Vershinino dictionary is an extended version of the Full Dictionary: all words are provided with commentaries; new entries were added; many entries are given in a new updated and corrected edition; new examples of use have been added to the entries. According to the authors, the Vershinino Dictionary has increased in volume by one and a half times. The second volume contains 4,498 entries.
