This is the second book of memoirs by a well known political scientist, the leading scholar of the Russian Independent Institute of Social and National Problems, Valentin Shelokhaev (b. 1941), who undertook the enormous project of compiling the history of Russian political parties for the publisher "ROSSPEN". This book continues "Proshchanie s Proshlym" (1998). Shelokhaev started his academic career in the Institute of International Relations and Institute of Marxism-Leninism.
