This book is a collection of works of 1998-2004 on the interconnection of social and economic processes in Russia. Evgenii Iasin (b. 1934), former Minister of Economy (1994-1997), was one of the major contributors to the first government program of the transformation of the centrally planned Russian economy into a market one. He is a head of the fond "Liberal Mission" which since 2000 has been disseminating liberal values in Russian society. This book includes articles about the most recent issues such as the case of IUKOS and the conflict between business and the government. It continues his previous one, Rossiiskaia Ekonomika: Istoki i Panorama Rynochnykh Reform (2002), also available.
