This book includes two essays with the same name but different about the first Russian Orientalist Dmitry Kantemir (1673-1723), a Russian diplomat and poet. One of the essays is in Russian, the other in English. Pavel Gusterin (b. 1972) proved D. Kantemir`s first place in the history of Russian oriental studies. The Kantemirs are an old Russian noble family descended from a Tatar prince who was baptized in 1540. Appendicies: maps, documents, bibliography in several languages. (0.115 kg.)
