This book offers a unique approach to understanding of the legacy of one of the founders of Slavophilism, Ivan Kireevskii (1806-1856). Nosov identified the main principle of Kirieevskii`s philosophy – anti-rationalism. The philosopher always preferred intuition and inspiration to the rational method of cognition, which make his philosophical thought similar to poetic art. This method of thinking Lei Tolstoi called "intellect of heart". The book also includes an article by I. Kireevskii " On the character of European education in its relation to education in Russia" and an article by D. Pisarev about Kirieevskii "Russian Quixote".
