This new work by M. Kravchinksii narrates about people who ventured to compose and record songs of "unofficial variety art" in the soviet time. One may learn when the concept of "forbidden music" appeared in the USSR and what kind of people liked "convict” songs in tsarist Russia. The readers may also discover true names of the authors of the Russian urban folklore songs "Murka", "Bublichki", "Gop so smykom", "Institutki" and many others. The attached CD includes 27 songs. Maksin Kravchinskii (b. 1973) is the author of "Russkaia Pesnia v Izgnanii" (also available).
