This is the second volume of the series of Russian Drama Library published by the St. Petersburg State Theatrical Library. The current volume includes twelve plays, both published and unpublished, by Petr Plavil`shchikov (1760-1812), an actor of the Imperial Theater, playwright, and journalist. Some of his plays like Bobyl` and Sidelets were very popular and had a long life on stage. Supplements contain a biographical sketch about the author, comments, and a short dictionary. The previous volume included plays by Ivan Krylov. Standing order is available.
