This is a collection of three epistles by metropolitan of Kiev Nikifor, a notable thinker of the 12th century. The introduction by A.I. Makarov, V.V. Mil`kov, S.M. Polianskii describes the life of ideas in Rus in the epoch of Christianization, moral issues of Old Russian thought, its theological rationalism and allegories. All three epistles are translated into modern Russian and provided with extended philosophical comments.
