Vladimir Chivilikhin (1928-1984) after many years of studying the manuscript “The Song of Igor`s Campaign” came to his own conclusion that this text was written by Prince Igor himself. He presented his hypothesis in one of the chapters of his novel-essay "Memory" (1983). This book gave a strong impulse to a revival of Russian self-consciousness. He was also very active defender of national and ecological causes. This book is a collection of his diaries and correspondence with other writers, as well as memoirs about him.
