Language: Russian"Plates of Fate" is one of the least known works of the Russian poet Velemir Khlebnikov (1885-1922). It is about the Kalmykan (originally Tibetan) plates of fate, which were used for two purposes: calculation of calendar time and telling fortunes. By education Khlebnikov was a mathematician, orientalist, and philologist. All three specialties are reflected in his work. The current volume is a collection of articles about "Plates of Fate", its textology, poetics, esthetics, and heuristics. Bibliographical references.
