Feminist discourse of Ukrainian modernism

One of the components of European modernism at the end of the 19th-early 20th centuries was the so called "battle of the sexes", or in another words, the feminist movement in European culture. The image of "the new woman" was also characteristic for the Ukrainian culture. Ukrainian modernist writers were looking for special elements of women`s writing, their own style and topics.
