Do not be confused by the title of this book. It has nothing to do with the intelligence services. The new series is a joint project of the publishing house Nauka and the Center for Modern Literature led by Vadim Mesiats. The series presents the views of Russian writers on the current world inside and outside Russia. Gulliver is chosen as the symbol of a person who visited different civilizations, managed to perceive the differences, but kept his identity, and found his way home. This book contains essays by a well known Russian poet Tat`iana Shcherbina, the author of seven books, some of them are translated in other languages. Also available by the same author: Lazurnaia Skrizhal` (2003); Zapas Prochnosti (2006).
