Vladimir Bogomolov (1926-2003) belonged to the so called "war generation" who came to Russian literature with stories about WWII, including "Ivan" (the famous film "Ivanovo Detstvo" is based on this story). "Moment istiny", a novel about soviet military intelligence and a soviet state military machine of 1944 (1974), is based on documents and stylized as a documentary novel. Bogomolov was never a member of the CPSS or any writers’ organization, but managed to survive and be published in many languages. This book includes the novel itself, the history of its creation and publication, a chapter which has not been included, notes and correspondence with readers about the novel. It was compiled and commented by Bogomolov`s widow R. Glushko.
