This monograph surveys the situation of Russian women living in Africa. It analyzes problems related to interracial marriages and their children, intercultural dialog, and relations of Afro-Russians with the world. The author distinguishes several generations of Russian women who came to settle in Africa, mostly through marriage. The results of the study show that the group largely consists of former Russian provincial dwellers with a rather high educational level. The author discusses problems of the adaptation of emigrant women and the difficulties they experience while growing into families with alien structures and orientation. Includes bibliographical references. Contents and summary in English. Also available by the same author: Meticy: Kto Oni? Problemy Sotsializatsii i Samoidentifikatsii (2004).
