Il`ia Nikolaevich Golenishchev-Kutuzov (1904-1969), an offspring of an old noble Russian family, nephew of Field Marshal M. Kutuzov, emigrated with his family at the age of 16. He became a professor of Old French and Italian Literature and in parallel a popular critic and journalist of Russian literature. Golenishchev-Kutuzov accepted soviet citizenship in 1946. This is a collection of his literary criticism and current writings of various years. Also available by the same author: Blagodariu, za Vse Blagodariu: Sobranie Stikhotvorenii (2004).
