This is the third (additional) volume of the first publication of the correspondence of Ilya Erenburg (1891-1967), a well known Russian writer, poet, and journalist. All his life he was at the epicenter of the most significant events of his time, both political and literary. The first volume (2004) includes his letters of 1908-1930, when the writer mostly lived abroad in Paris and Berlin. The second volume (2004) contains over 600 letters for 1931-1967. This third volume includes 606 letters and telegrams Erenburg received in 1916-1967. Among them are very few from the pre-war period, Erenburg burned most of them in Paris in 1940. Among the 332 correspondents are many well known writers, artists, film and theater directors from Russia and abroad. Most of the letters are published for the first time. Comments and name index.
