This collection of works of M.D. Shargorodskii (1904-1973) in the field of criminal law contains fragments of his three largest monographs: Criminal Law, Crimes against Life and Health, and Punishment in Criminal Law of the Exploiter Society as well as two chapters from A Course of Criminal Law. His monograph Punishment, its Purpose and Efficiency is included almost in full with the exception of the last chapter. The work also contains a number of theoretical articles that have not lost their relevance.
