The Chelkan (native name Shalgan) are a very small Turkic speaking people of the northern Altai. This collection is the third issue of the series Problems of the Ethnic History and Culture of the Turkic-Mongol Peoples of Southern Siberia and Adjacent Territories (previously published in 1994 and 1996).
