Kedrov, Konstantin Entsiklopediia Metametafory
[ Encyclopedia of metametaphor]
Ed. by Elena Pakhomova; ill. by G. Mal`tseva
Moscow: DOOS, 2000 126 p Hardcover. 13 x 18 cm ISBN: 5862800824 Language: RussianKonstantin Kedrov stayed in shadow of his poetical school and his pupils for a long time. Andrei Voznesenskii called him "John the Baptist of the New Wave in Poetry (forerunner)". This encyclopedia is a cumulative result of his course on Russian poetry at the Literary Institute in 1970-1986. Among his students were Ivan Zhdanov, A. Parshikov, A. Eremenko, etc. Kedrov was forced by the KGB from professional teaching but kept writing. Metametaphor is not a theory but rather a summary of his poetic life. Genrikh Sapgir called it "scientific poetry" or "science of poetry". Kedrov`s books are translated into all major languages of the world.
