This is the first dictionary of collectors of Russia from the second half of the 17th century to 1917. The book contains 198 biographical sketches of the most prominent collectors as well as three essays on the history and specifics of Russian collections. Among the collectors of Russia were famous scholars, artists, nobility and merchants. Many of their collections became modern museums like the famous Tret`iakov gallery or Bakhrushin Theater Museum. Each entry has a short bibliography. Name, subject, geographical, and location indices. List of sources and a short dictionary of a collector. This book is an extended version of "Kollektsionery Moskvy" and also was published under name "Kto Est` Kto v Kollektsionirovanii Staroi Rossii".
