The author attempts to see Russia through the eyes of Marina Tsvetaeva who called her compatriots to love and protect the motherland in her hard time, "under earthquake" when almost everything around her collapsed. This attitude towards Russia going through revolutions and the war was shared by many Russian writers. This book analyzes Tsevetaeva`s texts against the historical background and the life of the poet to show how the she and her circle saved their love for Russia. It is based on quotes from Tsvetaeva` poems, diaries, and letters in original orthography. The last chapter analyzes the spiritual sources of her relation to Russia and finds them in little known historico-cultural and spiritual texts.
