Grigorii Pod`iapol`skii (1927-1976), a geophysist by profession, a dissident and human rights activist, was a member of the Human Rights Committee along with Valerii Chalidze, Andrei Sakharov, and Andrei Tverdokhlebov. This book is a collection of his prose, diaries, verses, his political statements, and current writings. It also includes memoirs about him by his comrades-in-arms: writers and political activists.
