This is the last volume of the unnumbered collected works of the outstanding Russian linguist Vladimir Vinogradov (1895-1969) It includes his studies of the language and style of Gogol`, Dostoevskii, Turgenev, Tolstoi, Zoshchenko, and Akhamtova, as well as his article "Realism and the Development of the Russian Literary Language". The central and best known work in this collection is "O Iazyke Tolstogo" (1939). Also included is a work by the editor of this volume A.P. Chudakov "Language of Russian Literature in V.V. Vinogradov`s Studies". Comments.
