These letters were written by Andrei Siniavskii (1925-1997) (literary pseudonym - Abram Terts) to his wife Mariia Rozanova during his long years in a soviet camp. The trial over Andrei Siniavskii and Iulii Daniel` is a milestone in the life of the Russian intelligentsia of the post-Stalin epoch. They were accused of sending their works to be published abroad without the consent of the soviet authorities. The prisoners were allowed to send two letters a month and Siniavskii sent all of them to his wife. 127 letters. Three volumes.
